M.E.(Sheli) Keyes

M.E.(Sheli) Keyes lives in a bedroom community outside Houston, Texas with three dogs, five guinea pigs, a bearded dragon and several other family members of varying ages and sizes. Her education in the arts drove her to pursue poetry as a passion and a personal art form. Keyes’ work explores life, death, magick and the place of the artist framed in feminism and patriarchal politics. She has work published in several literary journals including Ordinary Madness, The Red River Review, and The Tower Journal. Most recently her piece “The Pre-Diaspora Blues” appeared in Pandemic Poetry: An Anthology edited and curated by Manuel Nava Leal and offered by Lulu Press.
